Healing Ground Chiropractic Care
is now
Delta S Performance!
A Note from Dr. Carly:
To all of our current patients who have rolled with our chaos these last few months: Thank you! The IKEA boxes are almost all unpacked and we are settling comfortably into our new space on the first floor.
Now we have a new office, new suite mates, and one more big announcement to make! So without further ado…
This month, Healing Ground Chiropractic Care will be joining Dr. Michael Lovich and Delta S Performance in a move to expand my practice and clinical offerings. In addition to the adjustments, exercises, and physical training you have been receiving at the Healing Ground, I am now happy to offer treatments in functional neurology! Functional neurology most commonly treats post-concussion syndromes, POTS, and Long-Covid by looking at how well the brain and body are working together, and determining how to improve its functionality. We do this with brain-based exercises that include visual, vestibular, balance, cognitive, and physical training that are all tailored to activate, train, or fine-tune precise areas in your brain. I am thrilled to join this practice and be able to offer the same great care to my patients that has changed my life on more than one occasion.
As many of you know, I have had my own complicated health journey that has brought me to my specialties in chiropractic. At 7 months old, I became sick with bacterial meningitis, which resulted in my first traumatic brain injury. For 27 years I was told I compensated well with invisible disabilities, and found ways to work with or around my debilitating symptoms. It was a functional neurology doctor in Oregon that helped to restore my brain and body to the health required to complete my chiropractic degree, and become the practitioner I dreamed of becoming.
In 2020, I had my second traumatic injury as a result of a severe adverse reaction to a mandated medical treatment. Among other symptoms, I suffered bouts of vertigo, nausea, anxiety, and dysautonomia (a breakdown of the autonomic nervous system). This time, it was Dr. Lovich who took on the responsibility of my care, and brought me through one of the hardest periods of my adult life. This injury and recovery were the push I needed to begin my own study of functional neurology and I have been successfully treating patients with this modality for the last year. I knew I would not be able to grow my practice in this direction on my own, and so I gladly accepted the offer to join Delta S Performance as partner and Clinical Director for the South Denver Office. I know first hand the expertise and care Dr. Lovich brings to his patients and know I can trust him with the practice I have built.
While it is a bitter-sweet end of an era, I am happy to be bringing my years of hard work at the Healing Ground to the Delta S Performance community. Delta S takes its name from the physics principle that suggests that left alone, all things go toward disorder and dysfunction. Our decisions and actions represent the energy that needs to be applied to create order and function. This holds true for our health. It is the guiding philosophy that started the Healing Ground and I am happy to find in Delta S Performance.
We have worked hard to keep this transition as smooth as possible for all our patients. All existing patient visits will remain on my calendar as previously scheduled, and our fee schedule will not change for adjustment and rehab based treatments (though they will now be scheduled as Sports Chiropractic). Information regarding functional neurology treatments can be found on our new clinic webpage: https://deltasperformance.com/
The biggest change for you, the patient (aside from our new office!), will be our new online scheduling platform, JaneApp.com. We are suspending online scheduling for the month of February while we make the final touches in merging our two softwares, but you will be able to schedule online again in March 2023.
Stay tune as we keep you up to date on our new offerings at the clinic and the announcement of our big Grand Opening (date TBD) where you can check out the new office, meet our team members, and pick up some great SWAG and enter to win exciting raffle prizes!
Thank you for all of your encouragement and support over the years, and I can’t wait to see what the next chapter holds!
Yours in Health,
Dr. Carly
